Missoula Employment Service: Job Search and Resume Workshop
Join Missoula Job Service at the Missoula Public Library on July 11 for an in-depth review of designing your resume to navigate your job search. This workshop covers how to use applicant tracking systems to your advantage, research and analyze job postings, use accepted resume formats, and write a resume that stands out. This is where to start if you’re looking to take your job search to the next level and get an interview for the job you want. Meet 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the Cooper B room on level four of the library.
Join the Missoula Public Library for the “Lego Club” and build your way every Monday and Friday afternoon in the Imaginarium on level two. Come by anytime on Mondays from 3:30-5pm and Fridays from 2-3:30pm to create fantastic Lego structures!
Oceans of Possibilities Summer Learning Program: Clark Fork River Cleanup

Do your part and join the Missoula Public Library on July 12 to help clean up the Clark Fork River. We will meet in the Imaginarium on level 2 of the library at 10:00 a.m. and then descend to the river. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older. Bring a sack lunch to eat when we’re done, then enjoy a frozen treat on us. The program runs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Memory Cafe: Summer Games
The Missoula Public Library’s “Memory Café” is a support and social program for people with memory loss and is held the second Tuesday of each month. The next coffee will be on July 12 from 2-3 p.m. in the Cooper Room on Level Four of the Library. Since summer has finally arrived, make way for lemonade, cookies and lawn games! In July, beat the heat while enjoying a few games in our comfortable, air-conditioned Cooper Event Space featuring Cornhole, Ladderball, Giant Jenga, or just unwind with a game of chess, puzzle and stunning views of Missoula.
Tuesday Yoga at the Library
Join the Missoula Public Library on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Cooper Room A on level four of the library and end your day with yoga. In this class led by local instructor Kristen Stoeger, 4-part yoga postures (breath work, mindful movement, meditation, and gratitude) are practiced to align, strengthen, and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also incorporated. Participants can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Full body relaxation and balance are the goals as we perform a full body range of motion circuit with standing and seated poses, twists, forward bends and hip openers. This course is designed for basic skills and beginners are welcome! Places are limited and online registration is mandatory. Missoula Job Service: resume office hours
Visit the Missoula Public Library and work directly with Missoula Job Service’s workforce consultants to get constructive feedback that will help you refine your resume. This workshop will take place on July 13 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Cooper B room on level four of the library. Registration is mandatory. Technical time @ MPL
Meet with a Missoula Public Library staff member during our Walk-In Tech Support Hour and get one-on-one assistance with basic technology issues and library services. Our next “Tech Time” will be July 14 from 4-5 p.m. in the Cooper B room on level four of the library. Bring your own device or use a laptop from the library. No appointment required, first come, first served.
Cheap date night
Enjoy a newly released feature film during the Missoula Public Library’s “Cheap Date Night” on the third Friday of every month in the Cooper Room on level four of the library. The next movie is July 15. Doors are open from 6:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:30 p.m. Late entry is not permitted. Western Montana Genealogical Society Labor Day
The Western Montana Genealogical Society holds a business day in the Blackfoot Council Chamber on the fourth floor of the Missoula Public Library on the second Saturday of each month from noon to 4 p.m. Bring part of your family history project to the gathering. Other genealogists will work on their projects and can lend a hand if needed, and share sites and advice on research issues. The next working day is July 16.
