Argentinian Peugeot 208 adds 10-inch touchscreen from cheapest version

To date, the complete range of Peugeot 208 made in Argentina incorporates a new 10.25 inch touch screen. Until now, it was an exclusive equipment of the more expensive versions of the compact sedan.

This screen, one of the largest in the segment, is characterized by:

  • Fixed vertical buttons on the sides (easy access to volume control and most used sections)

  • Air conditioning (manual or automatic)

There are currently nine options of the Argentine 208 for sale. Seven of them have the same list price because they are “capped” so that they are not covered by car tax.

the Peugeot 208 It is the model that obtained the most patents between January and April in its segment, that of sedans (bibodies or “short tail” cars).

In the first trimester, the new 208 has achieved 9,368 patents. This figure represents 52% growth compared to the same period last year, when 6,167 units were sold. It improved its performance in a total market that fell 7%.

With these figures, the domestic production model is established in second place in the general patent table, behind the Fiat Cronos and above the Toyota Hilux, two other Argentine vehicles.

This month a limited series called Style has been added to the 208 range. Consists of 1500 units based on the Active variant, on which it stands out with exclusive aesthetic and equipment details.

The engine of both options is the famous 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 115 horsepower which already offer Active, Allure and Feline versions. In the first, the box is a five-speed manual and in the second, a six-speed Tiptronic sequential automatic.

On the outside, this limited series is distinguished by the presence new color Artense GrayFull-LED headlights, 16 inch alloy wheels Shown in Gloss Black, with Black Chrome grille, Gloss Black exterior mirrors, rear spoiler and C-pillar styling badging.

Inside it comes with a new 10 inch multimedia touch screeninductive charger for smartphones, seats with contrasting Style stitching, Style mats, parking sensors and 180-degree camera.
