Just a week ago we were pulling our cars out of the snow and praying our heaters would stop ringing like a busy kitchen during a lunch rush, but somehow today brings clear blue skies and t-shirt temperatures at an otherwise freezing February temperature. Yes, it’s an incredibly mild 50 degrees here in New York, which by all indicators is hot for this time of year, so we’re going to “let it go” as such. It’s Friday, folks, which means we stand before our god, the Internet, and offer ourselves in homage so he can bless us (and you, dear readers) with the most decadent drops of the week.
Last week’s drops were an assortment of electrically printed housewares and quilt-like housecoats. This week’s bounty is three times more focused on February’s cozy finds, new Arc’teryx from jackets that will keep you bundled up well into spring (we don’t trust this February heat to stick around) to sparkly leisurewear from Skims, and so much more. Dive in, dress up and drop with the sickest and tightest collabs and launches this week.
The Arc’teryx Spring Collection
Arc’teryx toiled away on a snowy peak to perfect their Spring 2022 collection and showed us the first pieces from the cult brand of outdoor gear and apparel. Our favorite is the new bright blue GORE-TEX Beta Shell Jacket, which is both lightweight and weather resistant. Meaning: Wear it in the rain, wind and anywhere else you might need a bit more breathable coverage.
The Last of Many ~Personality~ bedding collections from Novogratz includes a blue-green wavy bedding set that looks like it’s wrapped inside a 1960s psych rock poster, and a painted check bedding set that deviates from the classic graphic print .
27 Roses x Miss Fame
The cult French beauty brand 27 Rosebush collaborated with drag queen Miss Fame on a versatile cream-to-powder “highlighter” makeup collection that will look gorgeous on your eyes, cheeks, collarbones and anywhere else you feel a little subtle shine is needed, without drying out your skin. skin or look cheap. The “two dynamic co-ingredients,” explains the brand, “[include] stable, skin-penetrating vitamin C and hydroxyproline peptides [that hydrate] and restore volume, suppleness and radiance.
Ruggable Washable Shag Rug
Shag rugs are a frequent topic of conversation/adoration among our editors because there’s no other piece of home decor that says, “I’m excited, it’s 1975 and my mustache is soaked in milk” than the perfect shag rug. The only reason we’ve been hesitant to invest in one is that they’re notoriously difficult to clean, until now. Robust just launched a collection of machine-washable shag rugs that look like they’ve come straight out of the Playboy Mansion or a retro-chic ski lodge. You can choose from a variety of neutral colors and sizes, from full-fledged living room rugs to hallway rugs, and also opt for an extra-plush cushion. Sturdy, you just figured us out.
The sparkling new collection from Skims
Shit, first TikTok’s famous bathrobe, shaped like a duvet, and now this collection sparkling leisure wear? skimmed really has the Midas touch. The Sienna bodysuit in particular would look great with a pair of dark wash jeans, as it has a high leg opening and a thong back (meaning there are no visible panty lines) which makes it ideal for layering, and the cropped tee is just begging to make an appearance at your favorite cocktail bar.
The new navy citrus juicer from Smeg
It’s rare that a brand makes a kitchen appliance that we don’t want to hide in our cupboards, but Smeg will forever be one of the easiest aesthetic masters of this craft. Now, in exclusive partnership with Williams Sonoma, Smeg has just launched a juicer beast in a navy colorway that has already earned a 4.8-star rating from users. “Not only is the JO the best I’ve ever had in my life,” writes one reviewer, “it’s also so easy to clean!”
Yeezy Y-3 Ultra Boost sneakers
Where there’s a will, there’s a new Yeezy sneaker on the way. “[The] Y-3 lends its uninhibited approach to a running silhouette,” Adidas says of the svelte new sneaker, because it’s designed with a “cageless” slip-on construction and a little extra boost in the midsole area so you can, in Kanye West’s words, run away.
See you next week, Valentine. Yes this is next Monday (so order the flowers today).
